Which stabilizers do you ladies like? I've tried SuperStix and a Beiter, but seem to like the Easton ACE stabilizer with my new compound. Any suggestions for length (I'm shooting in the NFAA freestyle division)? I've tried a 29" and a 34", so far the longer one seems better.

:)
Thanks,
Anne

Hey Anne!

First of all, I am on a roll! Sunday (yes in all that snow - I placed first at the Mid-Atlantic Championships held in Reading PA - Nationals are next (yeah - right!)

I use a Black Max - 30" on my indoor bow (my Hoyt Saphire) and I have a 30" Beiter centralizer ordered for my outdoor bow (my new Merlin Max2000). The ACE is a great stab and I know a lot who shoot with it. Just like anything else - just personal preference!

All my accessories should be in by this week's end - just in time to get it set up over the weekend and a few shots fired off the Max so I can bring it along to Mass as a backup. I'll send a pic as soon as set up!

Denise,

You are really on a roll!! Good for you! Can't wait to hear how you like the new bow.

Is the Black Max heavier than the ACE stabilizer? I like the lightness of the ACE.

Anne,

Really not too sure about the coimparison of weight - it seems light enough for me. lol

I shoot a 36" AEP off of a Conquest 2 for any target round. I found it works well for me, and if I have no weight in it, it is the same weight as me 11" 3-D stabilizer. The longer one just seems to work better for target rounds. Oh yeah, I think it is a 36" not totally sure. But pretty sure.

I use a 36" carbon that I bought from Don Kudlachek over 30 years ago for $20. Don't have a clue what it weighs - It is great to lean on while you are waiting for a target.

AEP on every bow I own. I haven't used alot of other stabilizers so I guess I can't really compare. But what I'm using works great so why change. One thing a have noticed is various lengths and weights work differently on on different bows. You should really experiment for what will work best for a particular set up. Nunzio at AEP may let you take one to the practice range to try before buying. If you shoot 3-D at all and plan on going to any IBO shoots, I would be more than happy to let you try any of mine. I have 3 different lengths and 2 different diameters. Weights are easily changed.

We just got a AEP 18 inch... With the angle down knuckle..(have to have it). Ask the AEP guy. He will ask you what type of shooting , what bow you shoot..... etc. He will tell you the one that will work best for you. The 18 inch is the one for both indoors and out. Nice balance to it. You can adjust the weights on the front to best fit you. Take the Vibrations out of you bow. It price is a little step if you just are going to play in the yard. This is for serious shooters.... but if your pockets are deep ... GO FOR IT>
