I need some advice from guys that know more about clover than I do. I'm planning about 5 acres total of clover thats spread over 2-3 different areas. My question is, what height do you have to mow it once you start mowing it back to control the weeds. I have a big zero turn mower that I thougt I could use for time being, but it only goes up to 5.75 inches I believe. Didn't know if that was too low or if that would be ok. I will eventually invest in a pull behind mower of some sort for the Atv but would prefer not to throw down that kind of money right now. Thanks.

5-6 inches is fine for clover, just mow it more often so it doesn't get too tall and form a mulch mat after mowing.

More importantly, what kind of equipment do you have to plant 5 acres? What is your planting plan?

As death said keep up on your mowing and mow it as high as you can. You will be fine.
