I have no idea on age but for you that don't know, Arkansas is currently leading P&Y for new bear entries over the past few years. The season being closed for so long here allowed for some true brutes roaming the woods.

Where at in Arkansas was this killed? We've started to get a few of them in North LA. I hunt just south of Strong, AR on the LA side and we've got one on our club now that has started tearing up feeders.

Is that Adam Beason? It sure looks like him. He and his dad have taken several topping 485#.

I may have to try out the Ouachita's this year. I turkey hunt it regularly and see lots of bears and bear sign. I don't consider myself a bear hunter, however, I may start soon. Where I hunt its a walk-in area so getting a big bear out would be difficult if not next to impossible. A couple of good strong bodies and a wheeled game cart would help, but it would still be a major chore.
Congrats to Adam on this "HUGE" bear.
