View Full Version : Peep height

Ok did the search and found 2 different answers. My sight is bottomed out, and still shooting a bit low. When I anchor, my peep feels about 1/4-1/2 inch too low. I would raise the peep to be able to raise my sight, correct?
One prior thread said lower the peep, one said raise it....I think raising the peep would be correct, just want to make sure before I do it.

yes raise it.that will cause you to lower your anchor point and the will raise the bow.when you anchor too high this causes the bow to be at a downward angle while at full draw.anchor with your thumb under your jaw bone and move the peep to the position that will line it up with your eye.also short axle bows because of the steep string angle will have more distance between the nok or loop and peep than a longer bow would.

Just think of it as the rear sight on a gun. You raise the rear sight if you want to shoot higher and vice/versa.
