View Full Version : Y cable adjustment on split limb
March 5th, 2005, 08:55 PM
I just had a new string and cable put on my Pearson Diamondback and notice the wheel has a little lean to it. Looks as though the right side needs to be twisted to pull it down. Am I right in saying it should be parallel with the string in the idle position?? And which way should it be twisted?? They look to be almost not twisted at all from where they join together to the limbs.
Any info would be appreciated.

It is ok to twist one side of the yoke to help wheel tip. This will work to a certain extent, but be aware in doing so you will be increasing pressure on that side of the limb and decreasing pressure on the opposite side. Common belief is that it is more important for the wheel to be parallel with the string at full draw.
It would be a good idea to check this and then decide weather or not you have a problem.
