I am looking at the options for fletching some x10s and don't want to get it wrong first time.

Opinions on whether or not to go vanes or feathers and what length?

I am mainly using for 3D and indoor but will shoot the occasional fita.

Bow is setup with drop away rest.

You have a very unusual setup...

I've only seen X10s used in recurve outdoor shooting, with quite small vanes.

Will the X10 spine suit your bow?

If you're shooting FITA, I think you ought to use 1.5" vanes . Feathers past 50-60 yards slow the arrow too much. Besides , it's hard to fletch a small diameter arrow with feathers. Shorter vanes are lighter than longer and will give you a little better speed. For 3-D, it doesn't make much difference whether the vane is up to 2 inches, especially if clearence is not a problem since you are using a fall-away.
