: Arrow wraps and tune...

Just wondering and needing some answer here. Ive always shot wraps of some form on my recurve and arrows still flew great.

However with the compound how much does adding a 7" arrow wrap change the bows tune. What impact difference are there from say 0-40 yards? I would assume almost nothing since its the rear of the arrow but i may be wrong.

Im hesitant about putting them on my hunting arrows. And if its going to change things at all i'd rather do without them.

Thanks for any replies.

Using OnTarget:

Easton Epic 400, 30" lenght, 100g tip, taking the wrap as 5g due to it's lenght, the change in spine will be of 0.003".

Not significant to affect tune to me. There will be some speed loss and FOC change.

From personal experience using and 8 gr. arrow wrap had no effect on my point of impact, and no noticable difference in paper tear comparing an arrow with the wrap to an arrow without the wrap.
