How EXACTLY do you guys measurere ATA....

Ive been told middle of the axle pins.... Ive also ben told just the distance between the axle pins (measured from edge to edge)

Which is correct???

the technically correct way is from the center of the axle to the center of the axle.

an easier and more of a layman's way is to measure from the far side of one to the near side of the other.

for example....if your bow was laying in the press, measure from the left side of the top axle to the left side of the bottom axle. the axles are the same diameter so what little bit of distance there is from the center is the same. i think its just as accurate, within 1/16", with the true method.

Perhaps the question should be ..... how do the bow manufacturers measure ATA which appears in their catalog ?
