March 22nd, 2005, 09:24 AM
Hello Ladies and Gents
I have a jennings Speedmaster and I need reference points to time the cam properly.
I have posted pics and have gotten some responses at the Mathews forum but so far nobody there knows what are the marks or references I should use to time this cam.
Here is a link to the thread I posted at the Matheww forum

From the pic you showed of the cam it looks fine. Usually having the string lay in the track all the way until the end of the lobe where it starts curving is good.
Doesn't look under rotated or over rotated.

Ian or anybody
I got my new string and installed on the Bow and wow this bow shoots, 288 fps witha 393 gr arrow, new string increased the speed by 8 fps.
The recoil is so bad that if I shoot open handed the VTG drop away arrow rest will smack my hand.
I am wondering if this is because the cam is over rotated towards the string.
Anybody has any experience with this cam optimum rotation set-up.
I can twist the string to rotate the cam towards the riser but dont have a reference to rotate to.
I have an STS system on order and I am hoping it will help with the recoil.
Brace height is right at 6 1/4, which is right on specs.
I am thinking about changing the position of the cam and shooting thru the chrono , make notes and compare, any comments?
Thanks in advance for any response.
