Does anyone know of a source for an affordable High Speed Video Camera? I need a minimum of 250fps.

Try B&H Photo and Video out of New York. You can just type their name in a search engine and it should bring them up. They have tons of inventory.

Wow, 250fps is extremely high. I don't think you'll find that at your regular video/camera store. You'll probably have to find that at a specialty video equipment or perhaps a high-end scientific equipment store.

These are the cheapest you can buy, and if I remember right, they start at around 5 or $6000.
I was looking for one a couple of months ago to shoot arrows coming off rest's.
They are a very exspensive to get into.
Good luck.

I am also looking for a camera.
But $6000 is out of my price range.
I am looking for something that I can use to show an archer their release.
What fps do I need and does anyone know what make and model of camera would be good?

Steven,
A decent quality Prosumer camera should be adequate to show slow motion of an archers release. What exactly are you trying to see?

I mainly would like to show them their release using a tab and bow hand.

Steve, I had a demo camera in to take a couple of shots. With 250 fps from the time of release until the arrow leaves the shelf - you get just a few pictures (maybe 6. With 1000fps you get a good sequence to see the action. The best price I can find on 1000fps is $9,990.00 (monochrome), and then you will have to buy some other stuff for lighting and viewing. It ain't cheap. I know that Lancaster Archery has a camera and will shoot footage for a fee. You can also rent a camera for 3 - 5 days. Do a search on high speed video 250fps and then 1000fps.
