So, a friend just picked up a used (abused) Diamond Triumph...

The string/cable was in such poor condition, I refused to draw/shoot the bow, and advised the friend to leave it alone until new string/cable were ordered for the bow.

The limbs had no markings/stickers on them to indicate DW/DL, etc..

I didn't put the bow on the draw table, take measurements, DW, etc., for fear of the string/cable failing.

I installed the new string/cable, set everything to the proper ATA, BH, etc..

Well, the bow is pulling around 81lbs, which I'm sure these only came in 70lbs limbs max!

I've messed with the string/cable, and I can only drop a couple pounds off of the max DW, while still maintaining the proper ATA/BH!

Prior to this, I've not had any experience tuning Diamonds, so I'm not sure what the issue could be.

Any ideas?

Maybe someone switched out the limbs ie. Not original limbs and different deflection....?

The only time ive seen that happen the person changing the strings out routed the strings on the cam wrong. Not saying you did, just what I saw.
