I just finished the first step in test shooting the production version of the New TURBO NOCK HUNTER. I did a fixed blade broadhead shoot , using my CSS , with carbon express shafts and a RED FURY 100 gr broadhead. At 40 yds I was able to keep a
1 1/2 inch group hand shooting. I also shot a larger 125 gr Satellite broadhead and also maintained the tight group.
Monday I will set up the hooter shooter and test various other
hunting tips. The TURBO HUNTER should be in production next week and be available within two weeks.
I am also finishing testing of the small g-nock size TURBO Prototype that fits the acc and redline shafts. If it works as expected out to 90meters we are going to start tooling and will have it ready for the AMO SHOW.

Nick, are ya goin to make the Turbo-Hunter in G-nock size? I would like to see this happen as I use the Easton Redline 3-60 uni-bushings on my PSE Carbon Force shafts. Keep up the good work. Be safe.

We will be putting our G-nock small TURBO NOCK through its final tests this coming week. We are basically going to shoot it out to 90meters.
This first G-nock size one is basically a hot rod TURBO It is light
very small vanes and is designed for target shooting .
I am not sure if we can design a g-nock TURBO that would be suitable for stabilzing broadheads. There is quite a bit of torque
applied to a very small diameter insert. Whether we can get the hunter design strong enough for the little G bushing and be able to handle a broadhead will take some more designing and experimenting.
If the tests go well we will have the new G-size TURBO ready for the AMO show .
I just got the final prototype samples of the New Hunter today, and they are right on the money , fitting the unibushings of aluminiums and also carbon shafts. We should be in production with the new HUNTER this week and hopefully have them ready
for shipment in a few days.

I finally got some test shooting in with the new little TURBO
prototype that will fit the g-nock size shafts.
We are going to have it in production for the AMO show.
At 20 yds I shot my first group with it and put four arrows close enough together that I could not get my finger between any arrow. I also broke two of the THX prototypes. I usually shoot on separate targets to avoid the risk of breakage, especially on prototypes. I wanted a good photo of the group for my website, so I shot at one spot. Well I have a good photo for the web site and will have it up in a few days. I have been shooting compounds for only a year and I do not consider myself a great shot, but lately I have been having quite a ball trashing my own nocks.
At the Pa Bowhunters festival I clipped the vanes off three of my TURBOS while demonstrating and shooting at 35 and 40 yds.
I guess I should have figured that at 20yds I would have problems.

i just got my hunter nocks in and second shot i lost a fin. had to shoot different areas of the target to keep from doing that again. i will be doing some bh shooting tomorrow and the next day to get ready for the following weekend down in s.e. oklahoma. they will be on my bow. i am going to test them with both rockets and slick trick 100's. if you haven't tried them and you have a dropaway rest you should really try them. the one i knocked the fin off of still shoots right where i aim it so again thanks nick

I was not kidding these babies really group!!!
Good luck IN Oklahoma.
I just heard from a Pa. hunter who bagged a 6point buck.
He has never taken a deer past 25 yds. He was shooting so well with the DEADX and mechanicals in practice that he took a 35yd
shot on this buck and dropped it. The arrow passed through and
was laying about 10 feet behind the deer.
So far the Turbo has dropped African Impala, Kudu, Warthogs, and now the toughest of all a PA. WHITETAIL!!!
HAVE FUN BE SAFE!!!!:p

Have you got anything to fit Carbon Tech McKinneys or Cartels? Any plans?

Right now I have a new mold being made that will make A TURBO we have named the HTX . It will fit the g-nock size shafts. These molds are quite expensive and decisions on what to make for a new product are difficult. At this time we have the Turbos fit unibushings and most carbon shafts. I think there is one CT Mckinney that does fit.
At this time we are going with the standard sizes. so that the Turbo will fit Most shafts. Basically if an Easton insert nock fits
in either the regular bushing or g-nock we will have a TURBO to fit.
Off size carbon will have to really become popular before we can invest in a mold .

Nick, are you going to make the Turbo-Hunters in G-nock size? This is what I use in all my shafts, and would be very interested in trying the Hunters in G-nocks. Thanks. Be safe.

Nick,
I got my first Turbonock kill on a doe this morning. It was a good pass-through at 37 yards with a steelhead. There has been some discussion as to whether the turbonock would impede a pass-through given its rigid vanes. It seems that this is not the case. There was a nice entry and exit wound. I did not recover the arrow, unfortunately. I think it ended up in the pond behind the point of impact. Without the arrow in hand, I don't know if the nock stayed in the shaft or popped off, leaving the shaft and head to continue through the animal. I did a very thorough search of the area and did not find the nock. I half expected it to be in the chest cavity, but I didn't find it when I dressed her out.
Anyway, just thought I'd convey that to you. Thanks again for the "hunters." The finish and fit are perfect, not to mention the flight.
Take care,
Matthew Frey

Nick, what does the Turbo nock system weight?

The orginal DeadX weighs right at 44 grains. I have not weighed the hunters yet, but they almost feel lighter to me. Nick can clear that up. They work great and fly 'straight as an arrow!'
Good shooting

The new Hunter is 10 grains heavier than the DEADX.
The DEADX has .8square inch of vane on an 8degree pitch.
The Hunter has 1.6 square inch of vane on a 4degree pitch.
I have tested them at 40yds and both have the same trajectory at that difference.
The new Hunter with the larger vanes stabilizes fixed blade broadheads . and I think it will also do a great job on target shooting. Especially with big arrows on Vegas rounds.
The Original DEADX works great as a target arrow and for hunting with mechanicals.
I see the DeadX becoming a 3-D target set up as well.

This must be an old post cause the latest complaint had them at four times the price.
If this were only funny instead of sad.

You're 100% correct Sir!
At first it was almost comical, in fact it had me coming back to see what the "Next segment of Jerry's World" would lead to.
But it became tiring, then irritating.
Now it's just plain pathetic.
The guy has some serious psychological issues that need immediate intervention.
I commend you for taking the "High Road" Mr.Snook, your life experiences have served you well.
