Hey folks,
I just got the regulator from Cabelas. It is more or less an outlaw. The only thing I don't like is the plastic grip. I know I can replace with a torque less
Grip. However I would like to just have the small wood side panels like the black ice had. Has anyone tried this yet?

Hey friend, I replaced my grips with some made out of water buffalo horn by Rattler Grips. Tell you what, they are beautiful, hand made, fit perfect and only $55. Give me 5 minutes, and I'll grab my phone and attach a pic. PM me He can make your wood grips out of some really nice exotics.

Here they are. They are attached with double sided adhesive. I couldn't bare to have him drill holes in these beautiful grips. Oh, and I meant to say to PM me if you have any questions.

Looks slick. Is that the regulator or a different diamond bow? Can you take a pic of the entire bow? I took the grip off and the way it comes to the top makes me think it would be a rough transition to top of rest. But if that had the same plastic grip and you just put panels and it is comfortable I am super pumped to do that. I wonder if anyone does panels out of micarta or g10? Edit: looks like he does do G10. I am gonna get green and black to match my bow. Thanks for taking pics and breaking the ice on this thread. Maybe others will post. I know torque less makes a panel or complete grip for this bow. I had not heard of rattler grips either. I will certainly order some. Google didn't find him when I was initially searching.

Here's my bow, it's an Outlaw. Rob does great work & he does have a listing here under the classified adds. If you need his number, let me know. My stock grip was a wrap around plastic grip that screwed on. I was a bit worried about replacing them with side panels only, but they fit perfect & are totally comfortable.

Awesome yeah my regulator is more or less that same bow. So glad to know I can replace the grips. I sent him an email. I will need screw on though. Double stick won't cut it in Alaska.

He will drill it for you so you can slap it right on. Post a pic when you get them!

Rob is making me some two piece carbon fiber/g10 toxic green and black grips. With screw mounting holes. Very excited for this upgrade to an otherwise perfect bow. Next thing to replace is strings. It is amazing how quiet this bow is. Even compared to my dads Elite.

Nice, I can't wait to see them. Post a pic when you get them on your bow, they sound like they're gonna be sweet. Glad you went to Rattler! Rob does awesome work. I asked him to snap me some pics while he was making mine so I could see the progress, and he sent several. It was cool to see the process. You're gonna dig them!
