Dont have a pic but just bought my first boat today. 81' Bass boat. Small at 15' w/ 115 mercury. Decent enough shape and runs good. Was honestly wanting something quite a bit bigger and better but for just under $1500 I couldnt argue.

I have a 14ft flat bottom john boat with a 20 hp merc and a 55lb thrust minnkota. The trolly motor is nicer then anything else about my boat, good battery too. It is probably the least nicest boat on here, but its payed for and I dont have to worry about messing it up. Im a little suprised that none fo the people that bowfish on here have a fan boat

February 15th, 2007, 08:17 AM
I float in a 2003 crestliner 1650 fish hawk with a 25 hp merc bigfoot four stroke. she goes s little slow but thats all you can have on the lake i like to fish. cruise speed is about 18mph with two people. she gets the job done though.

February 15th, 2007, 06:48 PM
14 ft Herters fiberglass hull with a 15hp evinrude from the mid 70's, 30lb thrust minn kota, and 2 "experienced" oars. I installed a Humminbird wide paramount with twin transducers in it a couple years ago and now it is a pretty good little lake boat. The last two summers I ran on the same tank of gas.

February 23rd, 2007, 11:39 PM
WOW ,some super nice boats you guys got ,but i have to admit if you tried running them in our waters they wouldn't last but 5 minutes if you could even get them off the trailer
had a bass tracker with a 50 horse jet but it was even too big for this water

so i bought a 14' flat bottom with a 99' 6 horse mariner ,its a heavy boat (1953) good thick bottom

February 28th, 2007, 07:47 PM

I have a 98' 16' Tidecraft with a 90 H.P. Mariner, but I'm probably going to get rid of it...paid for and a nice lil' boat, but I just don't use it enough to justify keepin' it and the money's gonna look real good in my hand. I've got another boat, too...an OLD 12' V Bottom...my river boat. It doesn't have a motor...just a trolling motor or boat oar...pitch it in the back of the truck and go. I totally redid it back in 2000...stripped, primed, olive drab paint, new wood and bolts. I'll probably get a trailer and some more stuff done to it, get rid of the other one and use the lil' 12' when I go.

June 17th, 2008, 12:15 PM

bought boat, trailer and 25horse Evinrude for $1500. Stripped the whole thing down, painted, put in floor, carpeted it, built secret compartments for storage.

Oh, also have an aluminum jon boat with trolling motor for farm ponds.

December 10th, 2008, 08:07 PM
This was my boat but I sold it. I was gonna buy a bigger one, then gas prices went outta control. Then I was gonna get a smaller one to just stay on the flats, but the money was tight. Come to think of it this boat was the perfect size for my fishing style. I took it both offshore and on the flats.
It is a 18 1/2 ft Chaparral that I helped a friend totally redo. It was totally gutted and we built it from the ground up. Had a Johnson 155. I bought it from him. Had it for 4 trouble free years then I sold it to a friend and he blew the motor after a year and a half. Prolly didnt add enough oil to the mixture .............. his problem not mine.
Anyways here is a pic right before I sold it........ man I miss that boat, shoulda never sold it. I'll get another one hopefully sooner than later...

Picking up my new 'used' Coleman canoe when I get done with this deployment. Low price of 'come and get it', needs some work, but for the cost of a repair kit ($60 or so) great deal. My boys and I should use it alot.
