I just started using spin wings recently and find that I am running short of tape. What do you guys do when this happens? Where can I get extra tape?

Try automotive pin striping tape. It stays on better than the spin wing tape.

Are you referring to the tape used on the ends of the vanes or the double-stick stuff used to hold the base down?

I just use a fletching glue like Flex Fletch and just put a dab on the ends, it works alot better than the tape. I have never had a spinwing fall off (if it wasn't my fault...) with this method

ditto on the pinstriping tape.
You can get it at any auto part store, in multiple colors. I have used 1/8" wide blue pinstriping tape with great success. It's much more durable than the regular spin wing tape. I've not had to replace any tape at all on my arrows in months. Never could say that with the original stuff.

you can buy the tape separately as well. i notice you say you recently got into spin wings. when i first started using them, i too used up the tape and had to get extra. I found that i was using too much tape per arrow. the directions say to use a 1 inch segment or less so that the tape goes around 1
and 1/2 times the shaft. once i started doing that i found the tape lasted longer than the fletchings did. now i have extra tape. i had been going around the shaft 2 or 3 times using far more tape than i needed.
the auto pin striping tape is good too.

We throw away the tape that comes with the spin wings and buy the pin striping as well. I put a small dab of fletch tite glue on the tape to ensure it stays in place. I use just enough tape to get around the shaft once and slightly overlap. I pre-cut all my tape so I ensure that each piece of tape is the same length. Tape is grains and you want them as close to the same as possible. I also pre-cut my double sided tape to the length of the spin wing and keep it in the case so that fletching an arrow takes just a minute or less.

Thanks for the input. I'll try pre-cutting the double stick and auto pinstriping suggestion this weekend while I tune up for the last SoCal outdoor tournament (duel in the desert team trials) this year.
