Arrows to be used are a function of the tournament format being shot and what shoots properly out of your set-up.

For outdoor FITA I've see ACC's, ACE's (sometimes) and X10's shot quite a bit.

For indoors I've seen ACC's, large diameter X7's and large diameter carbons. For indoors I think the diameter of the arrow is not to exceed .358 of an inch. This is a 23XX sized shaft. I think 2312, x7's will pass but a thicker walled 23/64 sized arrow will not.

Indoor FITA or NAA specifies 9.3mm that means that a 2315 is the largest arrow you can use...a 2317 is too large (bigger diameter than 9.3mm) a 2314, 2312, or 2315 is a good choice, as you are only shooting 18 meters...outdoor is a completely different story, wind, speed, etc demand a different arrow be used for these events. NFAA will allow you to use an arrow as large as 26xx, but NAA rules say 9.3mm. NAA also has a limit to bow poundage as well...don't forget that. Good luck

The arrow rule cited above is a FITA rule. The NAA follows these rules. The bow weight rule referred to is for compound bows where the peak draw weight may not exceed 60#. If you are interested in all the FITA indoor rules see

9.4mm is max for the points/tips. i have seen 2315's with the points a little to fat to pass the 9.4mm and they had to chisel the points down at the tourney. just make sure the points are not too much fatter than the shaft. for FITA/NAA i have used 2312's left them almost full lentgh and put in heavy points. i think they weigh around 525 or 550gn. i also shoot the goldtip 22 series with 4 inch feathers and pin nock and 130gn points. these shoot as well or better than the heavier 2312/s
