i posted this in the wrong forum before so i'll try again. :darkbeer: i was watching a archery show on the outdoor channel where the host shoot a over the top mech.broadhead vs. a rage mech bh. into a gallon milk jug filled with water.the object of the test was to show how large a entrance and exit wound the rage bh. makes. do you think this a valid test or a come on for the sponsor?if its a valid test i sure would like to see how other fixed and mech. broadheads wold compare.:ninja:
It's just showing how fast two large holes drain compared to only one large exit hole. It makes a good point and demonstrates what an advantage an open before impact head can do compared to one that opens after entering. Milk jugs, phone books, propane tanks, microwaves, plywood, cans of Spam....I've seen a lot of test mediums this year.
As far as how others would compare. Just do the math. It boils down to total cutting area on impact and exit.
