I have hunted 3 to 5 days a week since the opening and finally bagged this huge buck. This is my first Trophy and what makes it so sweet is he was on public land and bigger then the bucks my friends that went to Illinois and paid 3500 dollars to kill lol. Man i am stoked. I grunted this buck in from 100 yards away all the way into 18 yards. This big boy only ran 70 yards and piled up!
Yea he does, oh yea i didnt give out that info lol. His G-2's are 12 inches and his G-3's are 11 inches. 15 inch inside spread, 23inch main beams and his neck behind his ears measured 23 1/4 inches and he weighed 190lbs. Wich is huge for mississippi.
Mosquitos are bad when it gets warm, but the ole Thermacell takes care of that. Thanks everyone, that is my best buck ever with my bow, and the kicker is i seen several more bucks his size and larger in the same tree stand! Gonna be on again come Thursday thru the weekend.
Thanks guys! Yea my buddies are already to move in on my ridge lol. I have to keep threatning them to keep them away lol. Naw but really if they did kill a big one off of my ridge (not that it is "my ridge") i would be stoked for them to. I have always called it mine because i have been the only one that would walk that far back in the woods to hunt that spot, but boy now do i have people saying how they now feel the urge to walk 2 miles back into the woods LOL
