Just wondering if anyone knows a place near the Naval base in Pensacola to do some bowfishing, also what types of fish i can dart. Thanks for the help.

if your still there, hit the shallows for mullet and flounder

I would check with FWC before I started shooting any game fish. I thought we could only shoot non game fish, such as carp and gar. I could very well be wrong and I would love to find out other wise. http://myfwc.com/

You can shoot all saltwater except:

Billfish (all species)

Spotted eagle ray

Sturgeon

Manta ray

Sharks

Bonefish

Tarpon

Goliath Grouper

Snook

Blue Crab

Nassau grouper

Spotted seatrout

Red drum

Weakfish

Stone Crab

Pompano

African pompano

Permit

Tripletail

Lobster

Families of ornamental reef fish (surgeonfish, trumpetfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, porcupinefish, cornetfish, squirrelfish, trunkfish, damselfish, parrotfish, pipefish, seahorse, puffers, triggerfish except gray and ocean)

You can shoot these:

Nongame Fish—bowfin, common carp, catfish, pickerel, eels, gar, threadfin shad, gizzard shad, shiners, tilapia (Nile perch), killifish, suckers, topminnows and fishes not listed as freshwater game fish and not taken for sport. Note: alligator gar require a permit to take.

Not These:

Game Fish—black bass, black crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, warmouth, redbreast sunfish, spotted sunfish, flier, mud sunfish, longear sunfish, shadow bass, peacock bass, white bass, striped bass and sunshine bass.
