Okay BillyRay..........with all the excitement and anticipation of our upcoming adventures in Vegas, I decided to pull up the website to the Stratosphere. Uh…………Darlin……they isn’t a roller coaster up there. :nono: It’s much worse.

Holy cow………..I about :vom: looking at the pics. So……….we need to decide which of the three death traps we are going on. :embara: :embara:
I know that there are a few people that wanted to go with us on this adventure..............but I'm thinking maybe we should go alone just in case we end up curled up in the corner in the fetal position sucking our thumbs. :embara:
:D :D :D :D :D

From Wikpedia:
The total acceleration of a body is found by vector addition of the opposite of the actual acceleration (in the sense of rate of change of velocity) and a vector of 1 g downward for the ordinary gravity (or in space, the gravity there). For example, being accelerated upward with an acceleration of 1 g doubles the experienced weight. Conversely, weightlessness means an acceleration of 1 g downward in an inertial reference frame.
In English, for each G you experience you feel the pressure of double your weight. , The Big Shot thrill ride catapults 16 riders from the 921-foot high platform up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet. Traveling at 45 miles per hour, riders experience 4G's as they reach the very top, and feel negative G's on the way down.
That means that some one like me who weighs 220 lbs will experience 440 pounds per G. That's 1760 lbs of pressure at 4 g's......
There is a reason those fighter pilots are 150 pounds....
H4E you won't be as affected since you are such a tiny little thing. But us guys who tend to me more "inetia - affected" don't fare well in a High G environment. (unless it's G-Strings:embara: )

I weigh 225 lbs. and have pulled over 4.5 G's before in an aircraft.
It ain't fun! :pukey:
But I think it lasted quite a bit longer than than the G's you'd feel on any ride.
Go for it!

Just to clarify without offending anyones intelligence---1 G is your actual body weight for example we on earth right now are all experiencing 1G, 2G is double your weight on it goes up from there, and I have seen few and far between 150lb fighter pilots in my 12yrs in the AF. Just want to clear the facts up. I rode the big shot back in 1997, and I won't ever do it sober:wink:

I rode the Big Shot a couple of years ago at a Nascar race. AWESOME!!!
Make sure to go at night. The lights of the town are pretty cool.
Got to try it at least once. And it was only like $9 bucks.
