The Dalaa never ceases to amaze me. I went to the Archery Shop this past Saturday for the first time in a couple of weeks to shoot the bow.

I switched to Beman ICS Hunter 500 arrows from the ICS Hunter 400s I had been shooting. I had to do a bit of adjusting of the sight to get the bow to shooting where I wanted.

I did a rather poor job of selecting the ICS Hunter 500 arrows I put in my quiver before I came to the shop. Consequently, I was left with only one arrow to shoot. Actually, that is my prefered method of practice shooting, one shot groups.

After I got the bow sighted in indoors and hitting where I was "looking" at 12 yards and 20 yards, I ventured outside to the outdoor range. The target on the bale at the outdoor range was a 5 spot target with the 5 blue spots with white centers.

My shots at 20, 25 and 30 yards all landed in the white center portion of the center spot on the target at which I was "aiming" to hit. Then I went back to 40 yards and took one shot at that distance and my arrow hit the target at 10 o'clock in the blue portion of the center spot at which I was aiming and about 2/3 of the way from the outside edge of the white center spot to the outside edge of the surrounding blue spot.

I might add that although I'm using a "sight" with the Dalaa, it is the DAS SRF sight not a sight with pins. I'm going to be contacting David and determining which one of the SRF sights is the tallest/longest one. I have the SRF B sight and at present my limit with it is about 40 yards. I can very likely drop it a bit and stretch it to 50 yards.

I quit while I was ahead! The journey with the Dalaa is a pleasure!

That's the nicest thing about one-shot-groups, you can always cover them with a dime. Have you shot 60 and scored yourself yet?

FD,

Not with the Dalaa. If I had done a better job of selecting my ICS Hunter 500 arrows before I left home, I would have done it Saturday. I WILL make a better selection this Saturday and shoot an indoor 300 round and see how much I've improved.
