HI, just picking your brains. My missus has bought me a gamemaster and for a change I am going to try and set it all up myself.
So a few questions, Whats the best brace height and nock point?
Is it all down to trial and error? if so what starting point?
Any other advice?
Thanks

A lot of it will depend on your personal shooting style, what arrows you are using, split finger or three under, elevated rest or shelf, etc.

Having said that, my brace height is set a just a hair over 8" and my nock is 1/2" above level. I shoot 3 under off a NAP Centerrest. My GM shoots nicely with a lower brace but it is quite a bit noisier.

Hope this helps.

most people have there brace height at the 8 inch mark, mine since I draw only 24 inches is at 7 3/8 inches as 7 1/2 to 8 /14 is the recomendation if I remember correctly. I had a custom endless loop string made out of 8125 shoots great and is alot quieter than the stock d75 string that comes on the bow just a thought ... enjoy your new bow they shoot great:darkbeer:

Put yourself a god rest on to start, and the tunability of the bow is unreal. I'm using a Cavalier Free Flyte one mine, and love the way the arrow are coming out. I'm shooting mine with a 7 3/4" brace height, with a custom endless string from Muzzy, and the bow is very quiet. The bow is really tough, a good shooter if no handshock, and surprisingly quick, and very dependable.

I shoot mine with at 7 1/2" brace height, with limb savers and a small doinker stabalizer. Also with catwiskers and a fairly heavy arrows, it shoots quiet and fairly fast. I use a center rest, and shoot with a glove.

Shoot the lowest braceheight you can before you start hitting your arm.
best speed and quietness! :)
