It's 66" 70@#30 and shoots a 492gr. axis 340 at 223-224 fps, Based loosely on the bingham's Pronounced t/d longbow design, but with a slightly more elliptical curve for more performance, it had edge grain elm and bloodwood tapers for the core and covered in clear glass, the riser is 16" gray actiowood, and cut almost to center, this is my first lam bow build, and it shoots great!, I built this one for practice for the Carbon /actionboo that I'll start on soon, I've taken many pics of the build if you want more ,but I didn't take any of the limbs cooking with the heatstrips I'm using,an oversight, sorry

I've allways wanted a bow like that. How much would it cost for a guy to give it a try? Not sure I have the skills though. What-cha gonna do with it when you get the fancy Carbon one built?

That's a beautiful piece of work!
How long would you say it took and about how much did the whole project cost you. Just curious because I would like to give one of binghams projects a try aswell.

Stunning piece of work; I really like the pistol grip and radiused shelf. To make such a bow, do you need a bandsaw and table saw? Router? Jointer? Thickness planer? Hot box? I'm dreaming....

I have a bandsaw,Drill press, and an edge/spindle sander, doesn't take a lot of tooling but the more you have the easier it is. Here's a pic of #2, just finished it, Pao Ferau riser, Padauk,Elm,and Walnut cores, great shooter too.

But... sometimes things just don't work out as planned, spent $200 on carbon, $100 on boo and wedges......Broke as I was stringing it...DOH!!

For power tools, I use a table saw, band saw, drill press (with drill bits and spindle sanders), belt sander and jointer. If you're really interested, I highly suggest the Vidoes/DVDs from Binghams.

I just set my new bow scale up, I was guessing wrong on the weights, #1 is 54@28, #2 is 59@28, and I draw 30", need to bump it up about 20#'s, My goal is to shoot this "500" gr. arrow(act. 492gr.) at 250 fps, figure it will take about 75-80#'s,but I want it to be reliable, accurate, quiet, stable, and without any handshock, the 54#er shoots 223 now, and meets all the criteria set above, I know I don't need this much speed, just doing it for kicks and giggles. I have no idea what #2 shoots, haven't ran it through the chrony yet............................................... ...Steve

CMR, #1 is only 54@28, I just got my new scale up yesterday, my old one broke, and I was guessing at the weight based upon my other bows, and I was off by about 10#'s at my draw length...................Steve
