Yes it's true! According to Vexilar user Tom Ridout of Weyeraesr, Wisconson and his friend Joe; this big pike ate his Ice-ducer!!

Tom and his friend Joe were out fishing for crappies. As Tom was pulling up his minnow, something hit it at about three feet below the ice, but whatever it was, it came off. He decided to put on another minnow, but no luck. So Tom decided to start hole hopping. As he was hole hopping, Tom noticed his Ice-ducer had slipped down about three feet below the ice. He then decided to move to his next hole, but there was some resistance! You guessed it! The pike had clamped on to the Ice-Ducer! Tom pulled the pike through the hole with his Ice-ducer (tug-of-war)!
