Penn 12/0, that rod and reel is around 25 years old....i also have a 14/0, have pics at home of that one...

seems like the smaller fish bite the bigger baits, that shark was a tad shy of 5'8", i had a big bait on a big reel for a monster...

48 lb Cubera Snapper I took with the spear my Buddy is holding up. It ran for cover into a hole in the reef and bent the spear like it was nuthin. I got in 85 feet of water just south of Miami a few years ago.

Some nice looking fish there. I recognised a few that we have down here (pelagics). Some are similar in appearance to Aussie fish-same niche in the foodchain I guess. I live 150 yards from the Pacific and 50 yards from a saltwater lake (estuary). I'll try and get some pics so you can check out our fish. I think you'd like them. PS I regularly catch bull sharks(whalers) here, and have a big set of jaws that would chomp those little fellas and swallow them in 2 bites. Cheers, Mick.

Are all the fish on the dock mahi? If so thats a lot, you must of had a blast. One day I will go down there to catch a giant bluefin. I went to a seminar where they said the bluefin average 350 lbs in feb. I never caught a bluefin bigger than 40 lbs so it would be different!!!!
