Here on the Hoyt mounts. They are designed to fit into where the existing Rizer Shoz go. I have had great luck with this design. $40 for a single and $50 for doubles. 255153

If your bow has the Rizor Shox in the riser...it will work. My design clamps to the riser thru that hole.

CoolhandLuke
May 19th, 2007, 11:44 PM
All Pms answered. This mount clamps in the hole that accepts the Rizer Shoxs just below the grip and on newer models that are above too!

I would like to see the stopper installed above the grip, on say a vectrix. I am afraid it will be dang near my peep. I love my Hoyt's, but that stealth shot has got to go. I would like to install two of these on my bow, on below, and one above the grip. If you have one, please just installed for a second in the top hole, take a picture, and put it back where you want it. Thanks

CoolhandLuke
June 16th, 2007, 11:48 AM
If you get 2 singles you should be able to angle the "S" bar in the up position so the damper is closer to the top cam if you are worried about it interfering with your peep. I don't own a Hoyt to install one and show you. I have a ton of guys that hate the Stealth Shot because the rubber is way too hard. They are actually installing my dampers so that makes me feel as if I am doing something right.

rustyfence
June 16th, 2007, 03:32 PM
If I understand right, they are installing your dampners on the stealth shot rod? That aint gonna work, because the damner on the stealth shot is offset, and with just a straight stopper, it would serve very little purpose. Anyway, it looks like I am gonna have to be the test subject for my idea. Well I will PM you if I decide to get them.

CoolhandLuke
June 16th, 2007, 09:53 PM

Yep, that is what I am gonna do. I misunderstood you before. I was thinking there was no way a stopper on the stealth shot rod would work. If I go with two, one for top, and one for bottom. Would'nt I need to place them so the string hits them both at the same time?

I just put them so both dampers are just touching the string. With a double the bottom damper gets hit first according to theory. Although I have never had a problem with the doubles at all. As a matter of fact, the 3 local guys that had them never had to move their sights.

Ok I am interested but if you remove the RizerShox to mount this then how much does it change the bow? Do you feel it more in the riser? does the dampening of the string outweigh the dampening of the riser. I would like to see all of this and hear it. I need more details than this thread has at this point. Any answers will be appreciated.

you won't be disappointed the benefits are worth it. i have a cousin that wouldn't even try one on his trykon. eventually luke and i talked with him and he tried it and his first reaction was WOW...that ain't coming off.

The "big deal" is this mounts in the hole that the RizorShox are mounted. This is supposed to dampen riser vibration and noise. If it is removed to mount this I was wanting to know if it changed the noise level or vibration of the bow.

Now that leads me to a question. If you have yours mounted to the front under the dampener(I assume you mean stabilizer) then do you have the same mounted Vibe Killer that we are disscussing? Because original vibekiller mounts in the back of the rizer and the Hoyt model mounts in the RizerShox hole. Ther RizerShox dampener is completely pulled out and this mounted in its place. So what it sounds like you are describing is an STS front mount which is an entirely different product. I may be misunderstanding you but this is what I am getting out of what you just said.

ezrider3
July 19th, 2007, 08:20 AM
Your assumption is correct! I have an STS that mounts in the front stabilizer hole and it works perfect. I don't see the need to mount it in the RizorShox hole.
Just my opinion

Also I have noticed in the pics that people are mounting them on the right side and curving them around the cables to the string. Would it not be better to put on the left side and bypass having to route around cables? seems to me that this would eliminate any cable contact to the stopper.

It would be your choice. You can put them on either side.

If I attach it to my VTec, should I use LocTite or just put the pieces together and tighten it down, start shooting?

CoolhandLuke
August 8th, 2007, 06:38 PM
They shouldn't go on a Vtec they are to replace the RizorShox on the Trykon and the new Reflex bows that have the hole that is 7/8 with a .125 radii on either side.

I actually quit making those, I figured they'd be a hit and no one bought the doubles only singles.

Luke,

Heres the pics I promised. Sorry they are late but your product is AWESOME. I have my back up bow on order, so you can believe my new Mission BX-1 will have one of your rear mounts and another QD as well! Also put on the jax you sent me on both my ACAD stab and the cable guard, also your QD makes putting the bow in the case much easier without the stab...
