I'm looking into possibly purchasing a new boat but am not too familiar w/ these motors. Anyone have any opinions? Pros/cons Motor is an '85 evinrude 90 vro. I'm not too concerned w/ the boat as it's solid.

Doesnt look to bad. I'd offer him $4000 and see where it goes.

After just buying a boat, I'd agree with the above or go to a dealership for a new or used boat.
The out board is worth more than the boat if it's dependable and runs good.

See if it's possible to take it out with the owner and check it out on the water.

Thanks for the info guys, I found an even better deal $2500 bucks...put 27 miles on it cruising around today...needs some cosmetics but overall very good condition.

Looks like a good deal. Nice find. My fishing buddy just bought a 2002 Alumicraft Deep V with 50 hp Mercury on friday for $4500. Boats had only been out in the water 10 times tops and was like new.
