what all should I be checking each spring when the snow melts and I start shooting again? Better yet, what should I ask my local pro shop to do to keep it in tune? Thanks, Brad

Why are you waiting for the snow to melt before you strat shooting again. We never put our bows up. we slow down during hunting season then we start shooting indoors and after New Year's we start shooting 3D outdoors and winter target rounds. We shoot 4 Sundays in January and 3 sundays in Febuary and March, all outdoors plus we shoot at least once a week an indoor round. If you are in NW PA or NE OHIO you are more than welcome to the Rainbow Bowmen's club and shoot with us anytime.

I do shoot a little but busy with other things. I was just trying to say what kind of annual maitenance should be done.

Well if you don't know how to check limbs for signs of fatigue, loose screws, wax your string, and stuff like that maybe you need to learn what the search button is before you get all huffy.
First thing I do when I pull my bow out of its case each and every time is look it over for anything out of place. I check the servings, wiggle everything like sights and the rest to make sure they are good and tight. Then I look at my arrows, make sure the vanes are still glued down, the broad heads are tight, and wipe them down with armor all. Once a week I take my allen wrenches and tighten all the screws, put a drop of oil on my axles, wax my string, make sure my whisker biscuit is still in good shape, and wipe the bow down with a soft rag. Once a year after hunting season I do a full detailed cleaning of the bow and put loc tite on all the screws and resight it in. Since your only checking your crap once a year you might as well do it all.
