i just got a bow for my boy. the guy that had it before had a 30 inch draw. i took it down to 26 (my boys draw) and had a WB rest installed. while trying to get it sighted in he is shooting high, but if i raise the sight it is out of the "window' on the riser and he can't see it. i had him draw and anchor with eyes closed then open his eyes and he says he can see through the peep fine. i can't see how he can being a man with a 30 in draw would seem to have to have a larger head than a 12 year old boy.
will moving the peep down make it so the sight could come down? if so the second problem. the peep is served in above and below. how do i undo that without damage to the string?
thanks for reading.

It certainly sounds like he needs to raise his nocking point. Who taught him where to anchor?
OK, raising the ancor means the peep will have to be lowered. If it served above and below, is it all one piece serving or is each one separate? Either way, it can be moved. I have often used things like the dull side of a butter knife to move the serving alittle at a time, moving the peep with it. You could even use a thumb nail. I've done this many times.
I don't know how far everything will have to be moved, but if it's an inch or more it's possible the draw length will have to be shortened a little bit. This depends on whether he uses a kisser button and/or touches the strigng to his nose.
The end result is that his arrows are going to hit lower. Therefore the sight can be moved down`within the sight window.

i believe the draw length is just right as the string is right at the tip of his nose and i put the kisser on and when the string is at the tip of his nose i slid the kisser to the corner of his mouth. i will try to get the serving undone so i can slid the peep down.
one other thing: is it ok to have a brass knock above the arrow and then a string loop around it? the bow had a knock above and below and no loop. i took the one below the arrow off and installed the loop. looks like this (* (the bracket being the loop and * being the brass knock)

Take a new razorblade lay it flat on the string and slowly slice the tie above and below the peep. it's the only way, just be careful. once you get the cut started you can use your fingers to remove it.

when we need to change serving, we get that little tool that comes in sowing kits and stuff, the ones that are made t undo threads, works best.
