Hey you guys,
I was involved in an auto accident last week, the airbag deployed, it's been 9 days, my chest is still hurting like crazy, and,no, I wasn't the driver. It's hard to breath, much less pull my bow. I'm so frustrated, how long does this pain last? I have no broken bones, it's all muscular pain. Have any of you guys had this happen so close to season?
Maggie

Ive had it happen before but from an accident I had Plurisy which is something to do with your lung it was some of the worst pain ive felt hurt just to take a deep breath let alone sleep. I took it easy took alot of pain pills and still shot a few arrows when I felt I could. Take it easy and get well rested I hope everything works out for you.

Maggie, there's really no way of telling. Everyone heals differently and it depends on what you are doing or not doing to remedy the situation. My suggestion is to seek the opinion of qualified medical personnel regarding what you can do to help heal that area. Be patient because it could take some time to get back to normal.

Sorry to hear about your accident Maggie...hope you heal up real soon!!!

Unfortunately Florida has some extremely heavy restrictions on crossbow permits for the disabled.

"Question
Can I use a compound bow or long bow during the new crossbow season?

Answer
Yes you may, but you still have to buy the $5 crossbow season permit to hunt during that time. And, regarding deer, you can only take legal bucks (one antler must be at least 5 inches long). The only exception to this would be if you had an antlerless deer permit – then you could harvest a doe.

Also, there is no crossbow season on wildlife management areas. This season is only for private lands."

and yep....find a doc that can tell you what's going on....which is the best advice I can give you.
