Is there any way I can create the feeling of a draw stop on my daughters Genesis. She is shooting well although she is sometimes wanting to overdraw the bow.

I have heard that some people put a metal nock on the string which hits the wheel and creates a draw stop. I don't think this sounds like a very good idea, and I'm not suggesting it, just saying that I've heard of it. It seems like you could draw through this and pull the string off the wheel, but I've never tried it.

I'd go with a Browning Micro Midas or something like that with a large, easily adjustable range of draw lengths, or a recurve (that is what my daughter shoots).

I find that most kids overdraw their bow when I set their draw length. That is why I steer them away from the Genesis. The Micro Midas 4, Bear Odyssey, or the Martin Leopard would all be good choices for a new bow. She would probably like the Bear the best because it is the lightest, and it is the most adjustable as far as draw lengths of these bows.

Maybe put a nock on the string/cable so the nock is stopped by the cable slide. Doing this won't cause any wear on the cam, and if it wears the slide, they are not expensive to replace.

My opinion; This where you should step in and instruct the art of archery discipline. The correct anchor point should be felt and adhered to. Have her feel the correct contact and let down. Have her do this repeatedly, daily as practice. Ingrain letting the bow down when things don't feel as they should. DON'T put anything on the string. You will be creating a safety hazard. If anything, install a clicker much like those on recurves and stick bows.

Sonny Tomas EXACTLY if the kid is over drawing the bow his teacher is not doing there job. Spangler Doesnt your daughter need a consistant ancor point to shoot her recurve? It goes to proper teaching methods learn how to teach befor you teach.

Both of my sons shot Genesis bows and the best thing I ever did was to install a kisser button on the string. It tightened up their groups and were consistanly hitting their aiming point. I heard other people putting a couple of wraps of duct tape at the back of the cable guard were the cable slide stops. I would not put nocks on the cable to act as draw stops.

I've got the Genesis Pro model and it has an adjustable stop on it.

You might want to look into swapping cams and such with stuff off the pro. I believe they are interchangable.
