Unlike pro sports, it doesn't need fantasy to make it worthwhile. Every game counts because it does, not because we assign something to it. Also the passion is about 999,999,999,999X the level of just about any other sport.

You have been watching Big 12 North!! It brings the whole conference down a bit, but the Big 12 South is always stacked!

Thats the differance between big 12 and SEC. Top to bottom SEC is better than any other conferance.

Couldn't be more pleased than seeing Michigan get knocked out of the title race right out of the chute! So sick of hearing all the "sports"casters who are MI alums prattle on and on about what a powerhouse they are every year and then are aghast when they blow it. Always overrated and wouldn't even win their division most years in the SEC. Go HOGS!!!!

Same thing Wisconsin went through for a few years. Finally people are coming around.
Only took 3 Rose Bowls, nocking off Arkansas, Colorado, UCLA 3 Times, & splitting with Auburn. (Georgia been a pain in the azz! ..... Been a good run overall though. (Only wish we had more successful players in the NFL, they always seem to under-achieve once in "the league").
I'd love to see UW play against USC, Oklahoma, LSU, or Florida. I think those team are are above everyone else at this point. WVU would be a good contest, very similar teams right now. However, WVU has us beat with a better QB. (Seems to always be the story with UW)!
1993 Rose Bowl W UCLA 21 16
1994 Hall of Fame Bowl W Duke 34 20
1996 Copper Bowl W Utah 38 10
1997 Outback Bowl L Georgia 6 33
1998 Rose Bowl W UCLA 38 31
1999 Rose Bowl W Stanford 17 9
2000 Sun Bowl W UCLA 21 20
2002 Alamo Bowl W Colorado 31 28
2003 Music City Bowl L Auburn 14 28
2004 Outback Bowl L Georgia 21 24
2005 Capital One Bowl W Auburn 24 10
2006 Capital One Bowl W Arkansas 17 14

Saban and Spurrier were brilliant...Tuberville was utterly STUPID at the end squandering 54 seconds that could have put a kick through the posts.

Personally I love it! College sports have a whole different feel to them... these kids are playing for their education and 99.99999% will never hit the pro's and they know this but they are still out there bustin their butts and working hard to win.
To me its what sports SHOULD be all about.
btw - NOTRE LAME? HAHAHA get you're bus out of PA and go back to your own state you hippies got OWNED! (again)!
If anyone watched the game you saw how Joe Pa deals with players being stupid. Great game yesterday guys, have fun cleaning the bleachers! Next time think first, act second and you'd be resting up today.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched the end. I knew they would lose because stupid calls like that one always come back to bite you.

I like College sports but I hate the Pre-season polls. What are they there for anyway? Michigan #5??? Wow were the "experts"wrong on that one. Every year they have teams ranked way higher than they should be and others that are way to low. If they would wait till after the first week of games were played then we wouldn't have to watch teams that are #5 fall to #30 the next week and after this week heck they could be #50.
SEC is the hardest conference to play in but there are others that are finally catching up.
What is it with all the USC love from ESPN? Every year they put them as the #1 team, only to watch them fall one or 2 games short of a championship. One BCS Title in the past 4 years.
BCS Champions
2003 LSU
2004 USC
2005 Texas
2006 Florida

the pre-season polls are the same thing as pre-season rankings in the pros. they mean nothing other then the schools that will get the most TV coverage (they would get it anyway)
about 1/2 way through the season the polls start to matter

What a lame bunch of play calling by Houston Nutt and the Razorbacks. Up 4 points with 2:40 to go and missed on a pass play on 3rd down which stopped the clock. That alone saved Bama the 25-30 seconds they needed to gain the extra yardage to score. Nutt has to step it up a notch to win big games.
