Don't boast too much on LSU. They played a good game but look at all the mistakes MSU made. A good team won't have so many scrub players for LSU to beat up on. I think South Panola could beat MSU. They are always a great team; high school. lol You will know how good LSU is when they play a good team like Auburn or TN. Maybe Arkansas at home in hog country. I think this whipping will help teach MSU how to play football but it might make LSU overconfident.

A sloppy win, but a win nonetheless. We needed to get the cobwebs shaken out before Va Tech, which should be a much more competitive game. We are fortunate to have Florida, Auburn and Arkansas at home this year, with the toughest road game looking like Bama. LSU historically plays well against the tough foes, then chokes at least one against a chump. Here's hoping this year is a good one for the Tigers. Geaux!

LSU keeps beating top ranked teams yet the AP seems to think that USC is still proving themselves better. USC lets Nebraska score 31 points on them and suddenly they deserve there ranking. Then Nebraska squeezes by Ball State? by 1. Hum, USC really has proved themselves worthy. Sad reality is that again the SEC will battle themselves out of a national championship. LSU still has to get past Florida, Kentucky, Alabama and possibly one of them again just to be in the national championship. USC has to get by Cal and that will probably be their only test. OU has a game with UT and that will be there only test. Looks like on paper that possibly OU vs. USC for the championship what a shame. We definately need some play offs. BEWARE USC or OU should one of these SEC teams run the table you'll be next.

Might i add to the fact, LSU & Auburn alwasy play hard ball game and is always a good game. both ranked in sec as 1 & 2 in defense, should be a very interesting game. usally the outcome of the game is who will be in sec championship game. Regarless the game is over but that was a flag, and that should ve been reviewed before the touch down was.Not making excuses this game is always won on a bad call. the last catch was a great gamble with LSU and it paid off. I still say tho LSU will loose one more game.

On another note, Bama Iron bowl will be good lets see if saban can help yall not get 6 loses in a roll. Get it Roll, there may be a 6 pack heading your way. will be at the next two games in auburn , so lets see what can happen.

what have u been smoking alabama is going to crush auburn hell auburn loss to south florida and miss st. alabama played like crap tonight and still should of won. We'll see how much u have to say after Thanksgiving.

Did you watch the same game I did??? LSU had so many penalties that allowed bama to stay in the game. LSU stunk up the place and still won. Bama had to play there tails off just to keep it close. LSU is loaded with talent but let's face it, Bama has one hell of a coach now and they will compete every year he is there.

The Bye week hurt both teams. It may have also had an adverse effect on the officials. Did they take a week off as well? EllisShoe was (and as a result of the Bama game) still is the only shot the SEC has at a team in the BCS championship game. I don't think it's a coincidence that the reversal calls, particularly at the end of the game, went in favor of EllisShoe.

Officiating is no more objective than it is subjective. The Southeastern Conference needed a team with a chance to play for the mythical national championship. The officials gave them that team, at least for the moment.

Having said that...the better team still won the game Saturday.

At Alabama, we're finally coming out from the shadows of the most miserable series of penalties and lost scholarships in the schools history. We have young talent, a well seasoned hard ass for a coach who has a knack for recruiting teams like the EllisShoe team we saw Saturday, and the backing of the entire university to bring the program back to it's firm footing. This year, we ate Tennessee for lunch. Later...we have a recipe for Auburn's thumbs.

So the BCS rigged it so that an SEC team will make it........:secret: Are you sure you are not a pac-10 fan? Did anybody in college football play more ranked teams than LSU this year? 6 teams in the top 20  Ohio state......not a one. Michagan will be their first top 20 team (if they can hold it together)...Alabama played one top 20 team in Arkansas...Oregon played 3, Kansas not one, Florida 3, USC only 2 (and probally will not get past Cal or UCLA), Arizona State only 1 and they lost that game......And everyone wants to holla about strength of schedule and conspiracy.....give me a freakin break.

I didn't say "rigged". I said "subjective". I did not say BCS officials, I said SEC officials. Yours must be a cajun interpretation?:darkbeer: C'est bon! (or is that...Sabin?)

Perhaps it's an oversight on your part, but if Alabama only played one top 20 team (Arkansas) where was LSU ranked when we played? And as far as rankings go...I guess when we played Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee they must have been second tier teams (by your reasoning). Of course...we still have Auburn on our schedule and that game might bring our power rating down too.

Mon ami...cherchez la femme and RELAX. Enjoy watching that fine LSU team the rest of the year. C'est bon! (it is, after all, the team Nick built) :darkbeer:

There is nothing subjective about it..(must be a redneck interpertation)..the facts are facts. And you are right Alabama played two top 20 teams (the only reason I included Alabama in that list is because they are a great football team and considered a contender at one point)..... I understand that Sabin built that team....but he does not coach it. I never said that FSU, Georgia or Tenn are second rate, noone in the SEC is second rate, they were not ranked in the top 20. I get my feathers ruffled anyone starts this crap of the officials pulled for one team or another.....How many yards was LSU penalized??? And you are saying the officals leaned towards LSU? The only call I didn't like was the last one. All the others the instant replay made the right call.

For the record: Georgia was ranked 22nd (and off your list) Tennessee was 20th (and I guess they made the cut). Florida State beat Boston College, a fact which I'm sure LSU fans appreciate. I'm just thankful we didn't have to play Kentucky.

Penalties for LSU on Saturday were primarily of the personal foul and unsportsmanlike conduct variety...hard for anyone to overlook.

In the final analysis, as I have already said, the better team won last Saturday. Let's move on.

I do believe the better team won. My dislike for the Tigers has only waned minutely now that Nick Saban is gone. I'm a Hog fan and I'm looking forward to the LSU-Arkansas game. I've got to say that in my opinion LSU is the number one team in the counry. Man! I hate to say that. Like saying Rosie O'donnel is hot. Just hurts coming out of my mouth.

I haven't read the whole thread, so this may have been discussed. Does anybody other than me think that LSU's superior talent is bailing out a lot of bad play calling and poor game management by Les Miles and the rest of the coaching staff? The guy just doesn't impress me. If Lloyd Carr gets fired at Michigan and Miles leaves to replace him, I wouldn't miss him.

NO,The only team that played the system and WON 2 championships. Not like USC that was given a AP championship. If you want to say given then I guess every team that has "won" an National Title in the history of College football was given there title because there is no playoff system. OH WELL, this is the system that the greedy universities wanted and that is what we the fans have to deal with.

Riiiiight. The teams that have actually earned more than one national title don't play in the D-I BCS division.

Face it, your coach whined his way into the game. LSU wasn't the only team who had earned a right to play in that game but they were the one who got hand picked to go.

I get it now. You hate the BCS and not the fact that LSU won. I agree that the BCS sucks and there needs to be a playoff but the Universities will not have it and don't care about the fans. Georgia, usc, WV, & Kansas would all make for a great playoff and of course LSU and Ohio State.

Dear BCS Committee,

Due to the recent years of bowl games and championship games being played the past two years have been a challenge for the schools of the SEC. Our schools are needing extra bowl money for the fact we are going through many building programs. Because of your committee's stupid and ignorance with the way you rank teams we must build bigger trophy cases. If your committee keeps this action of the past two years of ranking Ohio State #1 we must and I must stress we need the extra money to supply our schools with the funds of the trophy cases.

To show I'm not a biased person I ask that you pre-season rank Ohio State #1. We like the matchup!
