I have had a very trusty pair of 8X42 Penax binoculars that have served me well for close to 10 years. I decided it was time to replace them with another pair and decided it was time to jump on the Leica or Swarovski bandwagon. I looked at several pair and thought I would look at the Vortex brand since I have been hearing great things about them. Well I decided to do something I usually never do and that was to buy a pair without first testing. I spoke with Tim and he directed me to speak with Ron. Both were very knowledgable and I decided to take the plung. Well when the Vipers arrived the other day I was the the most satisfied customer in the world. I was blown away. The resolution is crisp and I couldn't be happier. So if you are looking for great binos the Vortex brand is what I would call quality for the price.

I totally agree. I will be replacing my Pentaxs on my next birthday with a set of Razors :D

I am very happy that you like the Vipers. They are my favorite. They give me everything I need in a bino.

Congrat's on your new bino's. I love my Viper bino's so much I got the rifle scope to match it :shade:. These things are crystal clear.
