2 weeks ago, I accepted a challenge to do a performance test on Firenock against someone's home made on one of the manufacturing forum. To make the story short, my thread got canned as they said I WAS Advertising. I know the truth it got canned because I refuse to let 2 of their so call (frequent visiter) to do the test.

That strike me as a pretty good idea that I should have someone who is totally neutral to do the test. That get me thinking. Who can I trust that most people would trust too. Then I remember the broad head tester, ArchersEdge.net's owner BT and I asked the following in an e-mail as below:

Hi Krisken;

How are you? Dorge here, I am the co-inventor of Firenock and Operating Manager of Firenock, LLC. I have a ton of people keep telling me and want me to proof how reliable and consistent Firenock are. I am tired of telling them and be told I am lying.

I accepted the challenge and propose the following challenge on XXXXX BBS. Since I know you have do many test and put arrow and broad head to extreme test. Would you care to test Firenock with them while you are at it?

*****

The following are what I propose that we test.

We started with 3 nock (with all necessary accessories for the test) and 3 nocks only. Use a compound bow with 60-70lb pull to simulate an ordinary archery’s set up.

1) We first shot at ordinary target for 50 shots (each arrow), if ONCE the nock do not turn on when fired or shut on impact, that nock is disqualified and out of the test.
2) We then shot still qualify nocks into 2X4. If anyone shut off on impact, that nock is disqualified.
3) We then shot remainder qualify nocks into concrete blocks. (I believe we should use carbon tech rhino) since most arrow will explode on impact. If any nocks shut off on impact with the carbon arrow still intact, the nock is disqualified
4) Finally we shot the remaining nocks in salt water for bow fishing each for no less than 200 shots for 3 continuous nights. If once it does not turn on/off as planned, the nock is disqualified.

Who ever still have the most qualify working nocks at the end wins or who first have no more qualify lighted nock before the end of the test loose.
****

I would love to have it done by someone who most of us archers show respect and I can expect no bias results from you.

Now the result is out..... FYI, you need to login to see it. Sorry
