Now first off let me say this is ONLY my opinion, so even if you dont agree, at least tell me what your opinion is IF this scenerio plays out. My prediction for the national championship will be USC vs. either LSU or Florida. Now, LSU and Florida play in the regular season and they are also my predicition for the SEC championship. Let's say all of this plays out and they beat each other once in the regular season and once in the SEC championship. If this were to happen and they are the 2 candidates to play in the national championship, how will they decide who goes?....Say for instance if LSU beats Florida during the regular season but Florida beat LSU for SEC championship and they both only end up having 1 loss each which came from each other. Like I said, if you dont agree with this prediction, just humor me and tell how you think this would play out IF it happened. Thanks.

The team that loses last drops in the ranking. Forget one loss each, to each other. BCS NC game is BCS #1 against BCS #2, you aren't going to come out of your conference game a loser and be ranked #2. I guess technically it could happen, but not with your scenario.

My Sooners were upset in the big 12 championship game in '03 by K-state and still were ranked #1 BCS. We went on to lose in the Sugar Bowl to LSU.
savedbygrace in your scenario the team that won the SEC championship game would probably get the nod. All that matters is how you finish the race.

Quit watching that bowl crap and watch REAL football. FCS and D2 both settle it on the field. The last one standing is the champion:thumbs_up

If they both beat each other once during the season, including a loss in the SEC title game, I think the only realistic solution would be to send the true number 1 team from the SEC ................ ROLL TIDE ROLL
If we can't do that then the team that won the championship sec game will be there. I don't agree however with the USC senario, USC is not as deep as years past and I think the wide reciever from last year- Jarret, should have stayed and both would have benefitted from another year. I got a feeling Arkansas's loss to the tide happened early enough so that if they go on to win out the could be there. Also don't fotget- the Nation loves Penn. St and Joe Pa- how about a send off with a national title.

Being a gator fan i hope the gators dont lose at all to LSU but i aint counting my chickens before they hatch.
florida still has some tough games coming up,LSU,SOUTH CAROLINA just to name 2 of them and doesnt need to be looking that far down the road. coach myers is a strong advocate of focusing on your NEXT game, not looking several months down the road.
