We've just posted a new episode of BowCast. On this episode, Aneal and Anthony review packs from the archer's perspective....fanny packs, day packs, overnight packs, and what we use to haul meat. In addition, we cover some of the new mountaineering technology that is infusing into our worlds as hunters.....download from the site, or find us on iTunes.
We look forward to hearing from you all!

I wind up carrying a portable stand in often, and usually have a "hunting purse" as my wife calls it, over one shoulder. A backpack doesn't work as well. I see a new product called the Bat Bag or something, sure looks like the ticket for those of us haulin stands and gear..... 75 yards on a goat. Your comfort zone has extended since you started Bowcast! Kudos to ya......:darkbeer:

Grand,
The product you are refurring to is the BowBat by GamePlan Gear. It is the best pack ever designed for the treestand hunter. It will totally eliminate the need for a fanny or daypack. it offers a great deal of storage in the inner pockets. It carrys your bow with quiver attached has cam covers to protect your cams. When it gets cold you can also lay your parka on your bow next to the quiver and then close the pack and be able to carry you parka in with out getting hot. It also has attachments to carry your rattling antlers so they don't make noise. Once in your tree it wraps around to make a quiet EVA foam padded backrest with all your gear pockets set up in work station fashion for less movement when you need to get to your gear. It has an attachment to hold your quiver, no hook or limb needed. Works well with or with out a stand on your back. Also works well if going in on horseback or ATV. One of the best things to come out in years. Once you use it you won't go with out it. You can find them on the web at www.gameplangear.com:wink:

I just finished field testing the BowBat while stand hunting, and I have to say it is a must have for anyone that tree stand hunts. The pack is sort of a saddle pack that wraps around your bow. Easy to throw your stand on your back and your BowBat can go on your should making it really easy to get your stand, bow, and all of your accessories out to the field. Once up in the treestand, the BowBat pack wraps around the tree and servers 2 additional purposes - it gives your back a cushion against the tree, and all of the pockets are right there for easy access to your range finder, grunt tube, bottle of water etc.
I give it 5 stars and definitely recommend it to any serious tree stand hunter. Check them out.
