Who starches their clothes and why?? thinking about a pair of starched jeans for some reason just gives me the heebie jeebies  the only way I can wear a pair of jeans is if they are very comfortable, loose fitting and broke in, why would someone want to attempt walking around in cardboard like clothing??

yeah, things are slow here today so I am wondering this question :embara:

Me, gimme soft and broke in any day... :chortle: Unless I'm in a monkey suit.. then perhaps a bit of starch on the collar.. :zip:

Back in the day, we starched our jeans to keep the crease crisp and look good over your boots. We took them to the cleaners and got xtra heavy then brought them home and re ironed them with spray on.. It makes them easier to store aslo as they stood in the corner. Plus, starched jeans dont get dirty as easy and if you were just going out you could wear them again. and. of course all this happens in Texas and we are a little different anyway..

Because it shows the people that are you with that you care enough to go the extra mile and look nice...

My business clients really notice things like that.... and it keeps the creases alot longer...

You must've had a tough time during the era of skin tight jeans then

I don't know why anyone would want to starch anything other than maybe a dress shirt. Although even then I'm really not partial to starch on the collar.

LOL...I look back at those pics now and wonder what was I thinking?? LOL....Jordache and Sergio Valente jeans were painted on...yuck and ouch!! :embara:Yeah but you had the build for those jeans so you were good to go back then. When a person is younger tight is fine cause they don't have circulation problems in their legs like us middle aged folks do. This is just a theory on my part but I think tight is no longer comfortable to us after a certain age because of reduced blood flow.

Thats correct you certainly did.. Belt buckle, ( not too big) boots, Stetson cocked to one side, and you danced.. Close, both fast and slow, and you basically had a good time.. Now everything is line dancing.. How much fun is that??

As for the camels... I am not going there.... here.. LOL:zip:

I spend 11-12 hrs a day (plus my 25 min walk to work, each way) in a button down shirt and dress pants. NO WAY am I sitting in stiff clothes during that time. I don't even have to say anything to my dry cleaner any more. :)
