One of the best bowhunting days I have had.started out walking up a cow path up the hill to get to my stand. As I'm walking up 20 ft away in the weeds and brush I here some motion, then grunting,I stand still and a 6pt pops his headout and looks in my direction 10 ft from me.I'm thinking man the Predator camo is great, then I'm thinking he still grunting and I might be in trouble. He slowly walks back in and comes out ahead of me.Just keeps walking up the hill.I'm thinking thats great I just got here and already seeing action.I get to the edge of the woods from my stand and bump a Doe.as I'm heading in a yearling runs down the hill into the swamp.I get in my stand and here comes the yearling.I watch it for 20 min work it's way to me and around me,at 10 yards I have to whack her.she runs up the hill and goe's down.this is at 8:00am. I climb down and Tag her at 8:30am and get back into my stand,I blow my gunt tube acouple times around 10 am and 5 min later I here soft grunting working to me and getting louder, then I spot him,he moving at a pretty good pace cutting to the right of me to climb up the hill.I decide he is a good 8pt buck with nice mass for me and I smack him with an arrow at 22 yards 3/4 of the way up the hill,my stand sticks out on a point on a saddle over looking a bottom area.the arrow enters high but for the down ward shot comes out low to mid chest,he spins around heading down the hill cutting to the left full speed and gets tangled in grape vines at full speed,He leaves the hill side twirling out past the hill and the vines break sending him crashing to the ground 20 ft below on his side,he gets up to my amazement and sorta runs into a swamp where he falls over.I can not believe what I just saw.I wait 20 min and go check him out.Now I have 2 deer to pack out along ways so I get to work.I stack both deer on a kids snow sled and have them out by 2:30.I'm very greatful for the chance to deer hunt on Public land and have these Opertunities to harvest such great Creatures.
