I was wondering if anyone keep mice in the freezer until trapping came back around? I live in the country and every winter we have mice somewhere. Are they worth keeping in the freezer until canine season re-opens and using them in hole sets? I don't want to get into the whole rendering thing just use them whole.

I haven't tried that but I think it would work. I'd wrap them in some freezer bags, though, and maybe thaw them a day before you plan to put one in a set.

I save a lot of mice in the freezer.
I even run a mouse trapline on occasion.
I generally put the mice in the food processor and make bait out of them.

I save all my rats and mice in the freezer. I also make a ground paste out of them in the blender to attract game.
