For better sharpening, I use a "handle" for my BHs.

Get a hold of a front piece of a broken Arrow, cut it to about 6", and now you have a little "handle to screw in your BHs into while you sharpen. It's easier than just holding on to the BH, or using the entire arrow shaft.

For sharpening replaceable blades, I use an xacto knife handle. Just remove the blade from the broadhead, tighten it in the xacto handle on the edge of the blade, and sharpen on a stone just like a pocket knife.
