OK, I know this is redundant, and many posts have been done on this. So here is my situation. I have and so has my archery shop tried to tune my hoyt 2005 pro elite. I think I have read every post on this and tried it myself and also had my shop try (although they are a mathews shop) but to no avail I have also tried 2 different arrow types. line jammers 250 and CE 150. The bow shoots pretty well and I want to concentrate on shooting and not tuning. I can shoot a 300 with 40 x's with little problem and i know i need to work on myself. But my bow is shooting about 1" nock high tear with paper tuning and have not been able to fix it. I am a perfectionist and want to compete in target only. I want to take all variables out by having someone professionaly tune my bow for me make sure I have the right arrows and then just concentrate on shooting. I dont mind paying for it and I dont want to go out and buy a new bow right now, maybe next year. so does anyone know of any companies that do this. I guess the last 2 sentences would have sufficed, sorry so long.
I have a 2005 pro elite, safari colors, 3000 limbs, 50 to 60 draw wt. with the a cam. I use CX 150 arrows in it at 52 lbs I believe my arrows are cut at 29 in. I make sure arrow center is alignes with the center of the rest mounting hole, than start at 1/8th inch up for my nocking point, the V blades on your rest should be in the center of your split riser, what Iam trying to say is the center of your arrow should be even with both sides of your riser on set up. than paper tune, to tweak it. I have always loved my bodoodle rests just my preference, and I keep the spring preasure very lite so it just supports the tip of the arrow. one other thing make sure the cams are rolling and hitting the draw stop on one side and coming straight out the grove on the other cam. I love my pro elite, I also have 2 pro tecs and 1 ultra tec hope tis helps its a great bow ED
