What happened to this bird, it has 2 spots on it where the breast feathers are gone? I wanted to get this mounted, but not sure if I can. Will I still be able too....maybe if I did a flying type on the wall.

Thanks

feathers

Well it looks like to many feathers are gone to mount that bird. Its not something you can really fix since there is nothing to fix it with.

mount him flying; the breast is hid in a flying mount

I heard that the bald spot on the breast bone is actually not from breeding, but that when a turkey roosts on a limb they "squat" down on the limb and place their breast bone on it. It gives them more stability. It makes more sense to me, cause I've never seen a hen with a bald spot on its back from breeding.
