Continuing to learn and need more advice.WOn a bow last year.BPS Kronick (made by Diamond).Short ata 30 5/8".I have short draw 26" plus D loop.I shoot at 65LBS.Been shooting their Carbon Fury4560 w/ Blazers w/ good results.Killed many Fl hogs w/ this setup using Montec and Tekan both in 100grn.This arrow is heavy 9.9grn/".Should i use a lighter one.Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance.
Wondered if lighter arrow would help w/ speed and flatter trajectory.I have been told it could also increase noise.I practice out to 60yds. but never at game past 30.Would like to keep arrow cost under $75/doz.
Those Carbon Express, take your pick in a 4560 @ 26.5" with a 125gr tip would spine right perfect for your set-up, or you could choose the "Select" or Maxima Series arrows in a 250 spine. Or you could try some PSE arrows in their 200 series and drop down to a 100gr tip, and that would get you a good spine as well.
Gold Tip 5575 XT w/100 gr broadheads will lighten up you arrow and provide you with more speed . They are very good and are within your budget range. The CE Maximas in 250 or 350 will also work well for you. The Maximas will be pricier though. What you are already shooting is working for you isn't it? If it is, why change? A well placed shot from a heavier, slower arrow will still get the job done. It's your confidence in "your equipment" that matters the most. I wouldn't change a thing if you are satisfied with the performance you are getting from your set up. By the way, I shot a Kronik at BPS (70# 29") and it is a very good shooting bow.
cabelas stalkers , same as beeman ics hunters for less money, go on the beeman site and find witch one would best work for your setup.I thinking you would end up with the 8.4 400 spine
Easton ST Epic would be a good choice also. They are $79.99 for a dozen. I just started shooting them this year, and so far, I've had great results. They weigh 8.7gpi in a 400 arrow. Take a look into them. Also, they are made in the USA, which is another plus in my opinion.
