Does anyone use a Summit climber? If so, do you like/recommend it?

There is no better climber made.

Easy, safe quiet.

Best out there. The only thing is they are so comfortable I have been known to snooze off occasionally.

I've looked at them and thought they were nice. I think the Viper SS maybe. Can't remember the model.

One of the most popular, and for good reasons too.

Too big and bulky. Get a lone wolf, easier to transport. Or ditch the heavy weight climbers and go with a Tree Saddle. The tree saddle is the most versatile and best system out there. You can hunt out of any tree unlike a climber.

I have the bowhunter model with the open front. I like it. It is rock solid, safe, quiet and 16 lbs. Would get the viper if I could do over again. I'm sure it would be easier to climb with the sit and stand method. Get the foot stirrups, they are great.

I like my open front Python. I'm hunting alot longer than I'm climbing.;)

My son used his Goliath a couple years and really likes it, so I bought the Viper SS this year. Tried it out, easy to use even for an old codger like me.

I have a Summit Viper and really like it. I bought the package deal Cabelas offers that they call the Viper Ultra. It comes with some additional accessories for a good price.

They make the Viper in steel, and aluminum. Both are great, but the weight difference can be important to quite a few folks.
At any rate, NOBODY makes a better stand...NOBODY!

I want the aluminum version. Makes it easier on those hikes into the woods.

I have the Viper. IMHO, Summit is the best climber on the market.

Last year I bought a Summitt Goliath or Titan, whichever was the new one as my first ever climber. LOVE IT ! I feel very safe in it, when the wind would blow it felt very secure also. Just read and follow the directions, watch the DVD that comes with it and buy a very good harness system to wear.

I bought the summit 180 last year and I hate it, cant seem to stay awake in it. It is the most comfortable stand I have ever hunted or slept in. it has the surround seat in it and it helps to keep the wind off your back when it is cold and windy,
