Hopefully I'll be short about this.. I love bowhunting.. always have, still do, and always will. Having said all that, my life changed because of it. In fact, my wife, two girls and everyone who knows me.. all their lives changed because of it. I mentioned this before.. probably too many times,...

Last year I started a thread and got a sticky called "Live From the Stand". It was cool to hear and see what others across the country were encountering live. With smart phones it makes this a lot easier. You can post pics or just updates on weather, what you are seeing, or not, anything as long...
Wouldn't at all be a bad thing for a number of folks, hell all of us I suppose, to stop being so reactionary and flat out mean spirited in a lot of the threads. If you like broadhead X, dandy, peachy keen even. No reason at all to go off on a tangent about broadhead Y, or the folks who choose...
This thread is for the first timers to have their spot on the board where they can post the pics of that special day. This way those of us that get excited for others can see the accomplishments of the up and coming hunters... Want to extend a thanks and congrats to those sharing
Decided to take advantage of the break in the rain and quit loading up animals 2-by-2 and building my big boat for them:) I used the time to broadhead tune for the 2007-2008 Hunting Season...before somebody starts seeing Rut activity next week:wink: I decided to post the sequence of events here to...
I have been working (fun work  ) with some teenage boys just getting into bowhunting and 1 thing that kept surfacing as we were doing "what if" scenerios was, they all thought the front leg bone goes straight up into the deer to the spine and as we know it does not. As we talked shot...

What do you guys think about this product? I know that there are some out there that don't like wildgame innovations for one reason or another, but this actually seems like something that might not be too bad of an idea. How long do you think they would last hanging from a tree? ...
I just picked up a Hunten Outdoors 3 mp IR camera at my local shop for $50.00. They are normally $100.00. I'm just curious if anybody has used them before and how they perform.
Hey Guy's and Gal's! I just acquired several Bottles of Doe and Heat Buck Lure from Smokeys of West Virginia. I asked quite a few Hunters about his products, before I laid Down my Money, and the general concensus was that he was the Elite of the Elite of the Lure Producers, with his Pre-Orbital...
Look at her nose. She appears to have a slight albino gene in her, just enough to have a pink nose.
I have the Moutlrie I-50 (Cabelas proprietary) and like it best of all the cams I've tried. I called Moultrie about their 12 volt solar panel and they said it actually only delivers 9 volts and I thought they said it's intended to be used with 6 D cell rechargeables in the cam. I tried D...
Am I the only one having serious issues with these broad heads? I've got one out of six that will follow field points (I've changed arrows and the culprit broad heads still do their thing). Serious P-I-T-A with my season opening in 10 days... I thought I could work out the issues, and...

I just want to hear what you guys have to say.... Shot my slick tricks this week to make sure they are hitting dead on, shot at 20 30 and 40 yards at a broadhead target.. shooting 3 shots into foam couldnt have dulled them too much, would you sharpen them b4 sending them into a deer????
Hey guys this year will be my first time hunting north eastern missouri. Im going up there to look for some places to hunt at the end of August. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go. I'm going to hunt public land unless I can find some private. Thanks for any info
I need to buy a new quiver this year and can't decide weather to get one that stays on or comes off. Any suggestions
Well I believe my instatiable 3 just broke, and chances are it wont be able to be serviced by the opener :pukey: so I guess I'm going to buy a new one. My question is, do the carter wrist releases have the same trigger feel as the thumb releases? Like you build up pressure then it just snaps over...
Do you guys? I figure I hunt in it ...might as well practice in it. I just came in from the rain and wind and my wife thinks that I am nuts.
Anyone tryed making a mock scrape and what did you use. Every year i select a location for my treestand, and make what i consider a mock scrape. I look for a low hanging branch then kick the dirt around alittle with my scentfree boots and start my scrape out with some local ia. Doe urine in eary...
Got a few pictures off the camera yesterday. The date and times are wrong of course but I thought these were funny. Just a little bear but I guess he was hungry.
how big do you think he is?
looking for the thread on custom wrist slings that an AT member makes? thanks
Been shooting the Bowtech SWAT the last month. Yesterday rained hard and steady all day - so this was perfect to find a new spot for the tree stand. Picked out a tree about 75 yard away from the tree I was in for the last 3 seasons. Cleared 5 shooting lanes. Didn't have to worry about...
How many hunt with a back tension release??
I am looking at the Trophy Ridge Hitman 5, Tru Glo Microbrite 5, or the Viper 4 pin which is good? They all are in my price range below $100! I have a bowtech sniper if that helps, also had a tru glo five pin last year was not bright enough and had .29 pins looking to get .19 pins!
What release is going into the woods with you this year? Scott Silverhorn NCS for me.
I'd like to let others know about a great forum member here. I was looking for a Kwikee quiver mount for my back-up bow in the WTB classifieds./ clear19 is sending me one for nothing. Even though i feel i should at least send him a 5 spot, he said he expects nothing. Some terrific folks on...
My standard poodle who is three is having emergency surgery for Bloat. Knowing that a standard poodle is prone to this disorder, i knew the signs to look for. Winston ate, and then 10 minutes later vomitted all the food and water up... ten minutes later he was dry heaving, stretching, trying to...
Anyone have experience with this stuff? Found the jacket and pants at academy for fifty each. Wondering if any fellow bowhunters have experience with it. I know walls makes good quality work clothes, making sure this stuff is on par with the rest of their stuff before I purchase. Got home and...
Where can I buy some new fleece/flet covering for the prongs on a QAD rest?
Can anyone recomend me an inexpensive hand release that will be decent for hunting? I'd like to keep it under 50 if at all possible.
So Im layin around watchin some tv, I hear them say something about the best bow tuner in the nation... then they called him crackers, that kinda got my attention.... then they mentioned carter's archery.... then I knew who they were talkin about... looks like he got himself a nice bear while he...
I went out yesterday and after having some really bad luck with farming equipment and not getting in my food plots put in, I was looking around the woods a bit. I was surprised to find 2 fresh rubs already. Deer season isn't far away. I'm now getting very excited. Only 4 weeks away now!!!
