He explains muscles, but not quite sure when back muscles start getting used versus arm muscles. If you watch the short video link I sent you, you will see it is a different coach. The way this other guy has you draw the bow is with the arm, and the shoulder blades stay way apart when drawing bow. Not sure if Larry Wise agrees with this other coach.

Thanks for answering my thread. I have been watching the Larry Wise "Back Tension Dvd". I have a question on it when using a hinge release. I know he teaches to relax the release hand forearm and transfer the load to holding in the back. Is this 100% complete before any contracting of the back muscles are started?

Finally got my 300 last week and my partner got his this week. He's averaging almost 298 and I'm at 296 so not too shabby. How's it going w/you? Also, I just put my sons Diamond edge on the classifieds if you know anyone looking for a youth bow that shoots like an adults. It's 30-40lbs. and adjustable from 17-27" in draw length simply by backing out allen screws and rotating the mods. It's ready to go w/a 3 pin fiber sight and new whisker buiscuit. It's up for $275 to cover the shipping costs so $250 if I don't have to ship it. Talk at ya soon.

Yup. That's what I'm shooting. I love it. In all honesty, I was a long while before I was consistent w/the Hooker and even still, I have my days. The more you shoot, the easier it is due to repetition and you do have to shoot a lot w/it.

Hi Don. Just thought I'd drop in and say hello. I got in the Pathfinder indoor league late and shot a 298 w/41 x's in my first 5 spot shoot in 20+ years w/the Strother SR 71!! I was just in a zone I guess.

What's up Don? How's the new bow working out? I'm shooting 2 Strothers right now and love them. The Vanquish is the best hunting bow I have ever owned to date. I shot a big doe last Tues. and my son got his first wed. evening while we were hunting together. His doe was at least as big as mine. Nice clean double lung kill, my best moment in the woods by far!! How is the blob holding up? Worth the $$?

That is probably the best idea Don, simply create an ad and then close it when both sides have posted in it.

    Good luck! :thumb:

Not sure Don, you could create a thread in the classifieds, have him post in it, and then close the thread and then do feedback. Believe feedback is only allowed to be left in the classifieds. Not sure the URL's would work from other areas.

Did you try it from the general forum Don?
