In the first image? It does look a bit fuzzy but no where near catastrophic. Confidence is important, if it's in the back of your head, replace it. You'll feel better about your bow. I had...
It doesn't look that bad. There might be some burrs on the module there. The flash could be deceiving though.
Looking for 29" modules for Monster XLR8. Have 28" to trade, or not.
Thanks for looking.
SHPoet, I just saw the "shootin and cussin", that's hilarious. Apologies for hijacking.
Yep, gotta pull them over the end loop. I just used some serving and pliers. The package mentions something about a bobby pin, which would work too.
I just wanted to chime in and say thanks for these amazing little accessories. In my very inexperienced opinion, 'cause I've never owned a limb stop bow, these things are great. I've just put them...
I'm signing up.
Have the cams been replaced?
One real easy way to check your sight bubble is to put the limb pockets against a level door jamb. Then if the bubble is off you can shim your sight.
Could always get a U-Haul truck, they don't really care where you go, as long as there's gas in it when it comes back.
FOB's are pretty cool. Wound up shooting a whole dozen off the back of some shafts. Haven't bought any more. Worked as advertized for me.
I wanted a Monster Phoenix or Dragon so bad. Still kind of do, the ones I've seen for sale though, pricey.
Looks fairly normal. R22 is being phased out, so the price is ridiculous right now. $55 is damn decent for a service call. Most joints round here charge over $110.
Appreciate the response. I had been thinking that would probably be the case, no worries.
I like the bow quite a bit. It doesn't need the modification, I just like to modify things. I have the single pin Copper John slider on there. Works great.
Right on. I was checking this out after work. If it had been wrong, would have been my own fault for not pulling one and taking it with me. I really appreciate the update though.
Edit - What do...
Thank you very much. I'll take a look at what they have at the supply house. If I have to grind them a bit, that's ok.
Hello. I'm looking for the size of the machine screws that hold the modules on the cams, I would like to replace them with some that thread all the way through to flush with the tapped area in the...
That's not an XLR8. That's a Monster 6 if I'm not mistaken. My XLR8 has no damper in the roller guard and there are no decals on the cams where the contact the string at rest. Should be a 5" brace...
Flaked like a boss last night. I shall make a second attempt.
Word. Got the yellow joints in the drawer. I'll post up a picture for the hell of it.
That lumber is done! Not quite a pass through though.
No offense zman, you got in just ahead of me.
I just put a single pin Driver on my XLR8. It's pretty nice. There are plenty of adjustment options in the bracketing, so you don't have to max out elevation when sighting it in.
Guess we'll just have to figure out which ones they are. Are they color coded? Seems like they have some colored paint on them.
I have a set of X80 cables and harnesses just sitting in a drawer. I would totally hook you up. Let me dig them out and shoot you a picture this evening.
I received my Van Handle Pro-Tune set last week. So much fun and so easy to use. I estimated where my pin would be when I was done tuning. Cracked off a couple of arrows and only needed a couple...
Got it timed, set up the center shot and put on a sight. Cracked off a couple down the hall inside. Back wall on this bow is really nice, slams to a stop, no detectable wiggle. Put the Bloodsport...
No dirt under the fingernails!
