This is officially amazing!
Depends on how you put use to it. You will certainly need a stiff base component to build on or else it will get quite wobbly. Once you have the base shape you want to use later on, it would be easy...
Bringing the topic up because i finally got some experience with the mold and the Airshox-replacement. I am still not completely satisfied, but at least it works. If someone is interested i can take...
Very nice, though i hope that there will be a proper follow-up to the Excalibur at some point. I really liked the riser design and options.
Should be fine, depending on your arrow length and point weight. If you increase your draw weight you should consider 400s.
Guuuuys, 2015 ist halfway passed and you already talk about 2016? Warg....
I used a similar spray-on rubber to coat the limbs on one of my bows. The original paint was peeling of everywhere and it just did not look good anymore. Worked well for me. No chipping or peeling...
Turns out that silicon caulk works very well. Oogoo, which is a 2:1 mix of silicon caulk to corn starch should work as well, plus it can be colored with just a few grains of pigment. This makes is...
Not on the string itself, but i started testing it last weekend on some paracord leftovers and some strings i had around. Did not want to try it on the actual bowstring first, as silicon caulk is a...
Thanks to Ken and Terry for everything here and the tremendous amount of time we have spend here in mostly fruitful discussions over 'How is my form' to 'Which brand is the best'. Looking forward to...
I did already print with soft PLA, which has a rubber-like structure if printed in thin layers. Unfortunately it is a pain in the ass to use and really annoying. Plus it smells like the most...
Just as a comment..:
I like your idea. You could, however, round the corners off a bit, especially at the positions where the cables will leave your spreader.
Did you print them in ABS or PLA? If...
I printed cams for a 15 lbs bow, worked well, but was scared a bit and replaced them again. Printing nocks is actually possible, but it is safer to buy molded ones. Just because the quality control...
Yeah, is it stiff/durable enough for the purposed use? I have some transparent ABS left i could use for a similar purpose..
Take a look at this:
- edit - oops, wrong link. Looking for the correct one.
GOt it: http://archerytalkblog.com/?p=283
Unfortunately some pics are missing and i have no copy.
I wrote it...
Congrats to you, what a beautiful bow you got!
Very kind to point out how nice this giveaway was.
Now that this thread came back to live:
Any chances to see something from Merlin again in the future? I always wanted to own one, but it sure was hard to get one... Any information available?
So, got some used GTX no 3 Cams today. Bow was previously with Cam 1/2 at 50lbs max using Cam size 5.
After calculating new string and cable lengths the bow now has a peak weight of 52 lbs. The...
And that is the point where Aerovane 2/3 are different, by changing the texture within the vane and therefor also the surface area. You are right, there is no magic, there is only physics.
+- a few
Thanks to you for the suggestions. If i go with the GTX-Cam, than it will be a switch from size 5 to size 2, so draw weight increase could be in an acceptable range. I will check the deflection of...
Completely off topic:
Well, now you can prepare for the next time and get us even better stuff. ;)
there is this guy which really likes my old Hoyt 38 Pro. Unfortunately his drawlength is way shorter than the range of the Cam, so we need to swap Cams. It is quite hard to get old and unused...
Please get us some pictures when it arrives. ;)
Very well made to the OP. Mine looks a bit less perfect, but works great. Without Sugru the angle of the grip was just too steep for me (PCEXL).
I use it also as a sort of dampening on my sidebar....
Not that impressive:
Some takedown recurve bows (KAP something)
Martin RazorX, Martin RazorX
Martin ShadowCat, Martin ShadowCat
Wow, the quality looks like a huge improvement to me. The finish might not be perfect, but the whole looks are really nice, like the chamfered corners and so on!
