I took the stock seat off of my Assault Hand Climber and I can't even tell the difference in comfort. If I was going to do anything to that stand, I'd add a footrest.
I carried a Glock 19 for years and my holster of choice for that gun is a Guide's Choice chest holster made by Diamond D Custom Leather. More recently, I've down sized to a Sig P938 and I'll never go...
I get them to group together at 20 yards but they're about 4-5" high and a little right at 40 yards.
Anyone shooting fixed blade broadheads over 300 fps? I'm struggling to get my Magnus Black Hornets to fly with my field points.
Mine came a while ago but I haven't shot them yet. Snow just cleared this weekend. I'm interested in hearing from people who've shot them too.
Sounds that way. I haven't heard any response at all.
The Boss is a great head except the blades bend after a bunch of practice shooting. Once you get your setup tuned, they'll do a great job for you. I've been a mechanical guy for a long time too and I...
Bump. Great sight.
I just ordered 2 packs of the Black Hornets. I can't wait to shoot them.
I have been an expandable guy for a long time but I'm making the change to a fixed blade this year. I've narrowed my search down to the Black Hornet and the Slick Trick. People rave about the ST but...
It is a great piece of equipment. it will let you hunt in weather that you might not hunting without it and it will let you sit longer.
Anything left out of the bunch?
Just left the woods. Found the arrow covered in blood and broken off at the insert. Must have hit that far shoulder. Bad news is still no deer.
That was 4 hours ago. I'm grabbing something to eat and headed back out with the dog.
As for shot placement, I know exactly where the arrow hit. She ran off with it sticking out of her side. It...
Shot a nice doe tonight around 2:45 and burried the arrow right behind the near side shoulder. The arrow made it in about half the length of the shaft and the doe ran off. I thought for sure that...
Bump for a great stand. I've been using mine for 2 years now and I can't justify carrying any of my other stands into the woods anymore.
Another vote for the Quickie 1+. I've shot everything and I ended up at this one. Great trigger and I love the adjustability in the length. I don't see changing anytime soon.
I've never tried it but it should work fine. I have the sit strap for my LW but never use it. It's kinda loud against the metal fre if the stand.
It's getting cold. Should be a good night. Alghough, I've said that on my last few sits too. :)
I bought mine used on here. While I love mine and I use it all the time, they're kind of a lot of work in the tree so I think people but them, use them 5-6 times and then stop using them. I paid less...
I've got mine mounted to my seat but flipped over so the nut is facing down. Once mounted, I cut the extra bolt length down to be flush with the nut face. And, since it came shiney, I also hit it...
Good week overall but I have a complaint. If you are in the woods as a new hunter, please be aware of the fact that other guys are in the woods. That means don't just sit in someone else's stand...
Headed out in a few. I've seen deer in every sit so far but no shots yet. I'm moving my stand tonight.
I have both in my quiver. I've never had any bolts loosen but I do prefer the trophy tip for shear simplicity and durability.
Saw a bunch tonight right at closing time. If we could use night-vision, I'd have taken one.
Lone Wolf Assault Hand Climber with Molle Straps plus Third Hand straps and bow holder. I also added a spider-web bunji chord to keep everything else I carry with me tidy for the hike in and out.
I'm ready. I've got to work on Monday but I'll be out in the afternoon. I've already been out in NH and Ohio but there's something special about hunting at home.
I just got a single pin about 6 months ago and I love it. I use the CBE Tek Hybrid single pin with the 6" dovetail. Great sight. Check it out.
